Active >150 metres

Unit contains and Active Receiver to allow video transmission between distances of 150m to 1000m max. It is recommended that a unit with an active receiver be used when the UTP cable distance are likely to exceed 150 metres.

Specialist test equipment is required to set up these receivers as the line needs to be balanced and equalised prior to the camera being fitted. This is best done by injecting a PAL test pattern down the cable and by adjusting the receivers gain controls using an oscilloscope or a video waveform analyser (ASD can rent you this equipment)

The EX series of Altronix Hubway Active Recievers have an Auto Gain Control built into them, so don't need to be setup as specified above.
